At the end of October was Diwali, the festival of lights. For Diwali, Prakash took me to his village both for the standard festivities which include lighting fireworks, and also because he was doing a vehicle pooja - having his car blessed to help with safe driving in the coming year. Mandi was still in Kerala for the main day of Diwali, so she missed out on the festivities. Since she was having fun at the beach at the time - I think that was probably just fine by her.

After Mandi got back from Kerala, we headed over to Brigade Road where lights were still strung for Diwali.
