Weekend Fruits and Veggies Update, by Jon

We have moved temporarily to the corporate apartment which is in the Jayanagar neighborhood of Bangalore.  Today we went around and looked at a couple of apartments and hopefully we'll have one of our own in the next couple of weeks.  We are definitely looking forward to getting more settled in and being able to stop living out of suitcases!  Mandi is also looking forward to finding a local Yoga studio and local volunteer opportunities!'

Our driver, Prakash, took Mandi to the local outdoor market the other day, where merchants were selling their fresh produce.  Prakash bargained and bought the fruit to teach Mandi how to bargain and what the fair prices are.  Today Mandi and I went to the neighborhood outdoor market by ourselves and bought fresh papaya, pineapple, bananas, guavas, lettuce, tomato, cabbage, cucumbers, and carrots all for 120 rupees (a whopping $3.oo US)!  Prakash told us that we did a good job getting fair prices on everything.
